ℹ️ If you already have an existing registrant contact that you want to use for the create, you can skip this step and continue with step 2.

Add the required contact properties for .BR to the registrant contact. For a detailed description, See the ➤ Contact properties KB-article.

- Request the create through our portal. For a detailed description on requesting a create, See the ➤ Create domain(s) KB-article.

Depending on whether the registrant contact already holds contact validation or not, the domain will created with an OK or Pending Validation status:
- Registrant contact already validated
✅ The create completes with domain status OK. - Registrant contact not validated
✅ The create completes with domain status PENDING_VALIDATION. The registrant must complete contact validation through email.

⚠️ If contact validation is not completed, the domain status remains Pending Validation and does not resolve.

After completion, the registry may start a registrant verification procedure if the registrant data cannot be verified by the registry during spot checks.

🏠 Create using Local Contact
⚠️ Important: Realtime Register automatically applies the Local Contact service when the country of the registrant contact does not meet the registry's local presence requirements.

- Request the create through our portal. For a detailed description on requesting a create, See the ➤ Create domain(s) KB-article.

- Once requested, the create remains pending while our Local Contact authority reviews the request. Clearance can take up to 7 days.

- The projected create completion time when using Local Contact is 14 days.

Once the Local Contact authority has cleared the request, the create follows the registrant contact validation state:
- Registrant contact already validated
✅ The create completes with domain status OK. - Registrant contact not validated
✅ The create completes with domain status PENDING_VALIDATION. The registrant must complete contact validation through email.

- Once all requirements above have been met, The current holder must now initiate a transfer at https://registro.br/login/. Our support department will contact you with instructions through email to initiate the transfer at registry level.

- Make sure no server or client transfer prohibited status is active for the domain to be transferred.

- To start the outgoing transfer, contact the gaining registrar for information on their incoming transfer procedure.

Registrants need to provide a valid Brazilian CPF or CNPJ.number (add contact properties) and have a Local address in Brazil, otherwise local contact service can be used.
