Create domain(s)

Login to the portal and go to the domain check

To create domains in your Realtime Register account, follow the instructions below.

Check availability for the domains you need to create using our ADAC or list availability check. For detailed instructions on where to find the domain check and how to use it, go to the Check knowledge base article

Add the to-be-created domain(s) to your cart and click proceed to checkout

Provide all the required information in the domain create form, we'll go over the different options one by one

Registration profile

A registration profile can be used to fill most of the domain create form and speed up the create process significantly. A registration profile contains a set of default registration information:

  • Registrant, Admin, Billing, and Tech contacts
  • Domain autorenewal settings
  • Nameserver configuration
  • DNSSEC key data
  • Preferred FOA contact

To use a registration profile to autofill the domain create form, you'll need to create one first. For instructions on creating a registration profile, go to the  Create registration profiles for domain creates/transfers knowledge base article.

If you wish to use a registration profile to fill the domain create form, select it from the drop-down menu, and the registration profile will be used to fill the domain create form. Once filled, add any additional information required if not added by the registration profile. If you do not want to use a registration profile, you can skip this step.

Configure the nameserver settings for the domains to be created, to do so use a Premium or Basic DNS-zone, configure external nameservers and DNSSEC keydata, or select the option No nameservers to complete the create request without setting nameservers.

Premium DNS zone

  1. Select the DNS zone option and configure to use a premium DNS-zone. If an existing Premium DNS-zone for the to be created domain(s) is active in your account, it will be automatically selected to use for the domain(s) in the create request.
  2. To create a new premium DNS zone during the create, confiigure the zone to be created based on a DNS-template in your account or a master server that holds the domain's DNS records
  3. Select whether or not to autosign the to be created zones & domain(s) with DNSSEC

Basic DNS zone

  1. Select the DNS zone option and configure to use a basic DNS-zone. If an existing basic DNS-zone for the to be created domain(s) is active in your account, it will be autoselected to use for the domain(s) in the create request
  2. To create a new basic DNS zone during the create, configure the zone to be created based on a DNS-template in your account
  3. Select whether or not to keep the DNS template linked to the zone

Nameservers and DNSSEC keydata

  1. To configure external nameservers and DNSSEC keydata (optional) to be set during the create request, select the Nameservers option
  2. Add the nameservers
  3. Add DNSSEC keydata if required

No nameservers

  1. To configure no nameservers to be set during the create request, select the 'No nameservers' option
  2. Add the nameservers
  3. Add DNSSEC keydata if required

Click Confirm to go to the order confirmation page

Select the domain create period to use for the domain create(s) from the dropdown menu if available and click Complete order to complete the domain create request

A message indicating the create has been completed or has been requested and is suspended will be displayed

If the create request has been requested but does not complete real-time, you can check the domain create process on the requested creates overview page in our portal
