Create/Transfer domain(s)

Login to the portal and go to the domain check

To create/transfer domains in your Realtime Register account, follow the instruction below.

1
Check for the domains you need to create/transfer using our ADAC or list availability check. For detailed instructions on and where to find the domain check and how to use it, go to the Check knowledge base article

2
Once you've added the domain(s) to your cart and clicked continue, you'll be directed to the page below. In the example below we've added a domain to transfer in and to create to the cart as well as the .shop promotion domains that are available for this order. Our order procedure offers the option to request a create and transfer in one go for the same registrant and add a .shop promo domain in case it's available

3
There are two options to submit contact/nameserver information into the fields to complete the order. One is to use a registration profile to submit default contact/nameserver information you wish to use for creates/transfers, the other is submitting the information one by one in case you do not have a registration profile setup. We'll go over both scenarios below as well as over the instructions to complete pending creates and transfers

Complete order with a registration profile
Complete order without a registration profile

Complete order with a registration profile

Registration profiles are pre-defined templates that can be used to submit Admin, Tech, Billing contacts, Nameserver settings, DNSSEC settings and Additional transfer information for domain creates/transfers. It's necessary to create a registration profile before you can use one on the order page. In case you've not setup a registration profile yet, go to the Create registration profiles for domain creates/transfers knowledge base article to create one.

Important

It's advised not to use a registration profile with a default Registrant contact. The registrant contact should always contain the contact information belonging to your customer(s). By doing so, your customer(s) are listed as registrant on file. We advise against using your own contact details in a default Registrant contact when registering domains for your customers.

1
Select the registration profile from the dropdown-menu you wish to use in order to pre-fill the information in the registration profile on the order page

2
All of the information in the registration profile is now filled into the order page

3
The registration profile has no influence on the Privacy protect setting, keeping existing nameservers for transfers, keeping excisting DNSSEC-records or whether to act as designated agent. Make sure you select your preference on these options. A detailed description on these options can be found below

Important

Privacy protect setting

For transfers keep existing nameservers

Turning this setting on transfers domains into your Realtime Regsiter account with preservation of the nameservers that are setup for the domain with the losing registrar

For transfers keep existing DNSSEC records

Turning on this setting on transfers domains into your Realtime Register account with the preservation of DNSSEC-records that are setup for the domain with the losing registrar. Take note that this setting is only used when the Nameservers are kept as well. Not keeping the Nameservers and keeping the DNSSEC records can cause issues with front end functionality of the domain that is transferred in.

Designated agent

The designated agent setting determines whether to act or not act as a designated agent. Acting as designated agent allows you to provide approval for the registrant for any material changes that might occur during the transfer a domain into your Realtime Register account. Do take note that special conditions apply to whether you're allowed to act as a designated agent and some registries like .BE for example do not support the designated agent option at all. For more information on the Designated agent option, go to the Designated Agent knowledge base section.
