Create registration profiles for domain creates/transfers
Login to the portal and go to the Domain Dashboard
To create a registration profile, follow the instruction below.
- 1
- Click on the Registration profiles tile to open the registration profile overview
- 2
- To create a new registration profile, click + New registration profile
Important
Not all options in a registration profile have to be submitted. A registration profile can be used for creates & transfers. If you for example wish to create a registration profile that only contains a default auto renew false setting and nameservers, this is perfectly possible. In the below example we'll go over all the available options for the registration profile creation on by one. In case you do not wish to set a default for any of the parameters in your registration profile, simply leave the input field empty or as is.
- 3
- Submit a name for the registration profile and submit a registrant, admin, billing and tech contact
- 4
- Select the auto renewal setting for your registration profile
- 5
- Select to use Nameservers, a DNS template or no nameservers in the registration profile
Important
Nameservers option
Submit the Nameservers you wish to set for a domain you create/transfer/update with this registration profile. To add more nameservers then there are fields available, click the + Add nameserver option
DNS template option
Select the DNS-template option and lookup and submit the DNS-template you wish to setup for this registration profile. The domain(s) will be updated to the Realtime Register nameservers (ns1.yoursrs.com & ns2.yoursrs.com) upon completion of the update using this registration profile. Put a check mark in the box in front of the Link option to link a DNS-template to a domain, this means that the settings of the template are adopted to the domain on update of the DNS-template. If unlinked, the domain settings are static and updating the DNS-template will not update the zone of the Domain.
No nameservers
Selecting the no nameservers option will remove nameservers from a domain when it's updated with this registration profile setting, and effectively means no nameservers are set for the domain at all. Requesting creates/transfers with this setting in your registration profile will do so without any nameservers in the create/transfer request. Keep in mind that some registries do not allow no nameserver delegation for domains. For more information on the TLD's that have a minimum nameserver requirement, go to our TLD metadata.
