Add Properties

In order to add properties for .TR domains to a contact, follow the procedure below.

• Lookup the contact you wish to add the properties to and open it. Next, you're going to add additional properties to the contact. In this case, you will choose the  *.tr, tr (RegistryTR) option. Once you've selected the .TR properties, you'll be directed to the page where you can submit the requested information.

• Submit the data as requested by the form and click save properties when you're done.

1. I confirm that if the registrant is a company, the domain name matches the company or trademark name while it is not relevant where the trademark is valid. If the registrant is an individual, the domain name must be in the form name-surname.com.tr. If the registrant is not from Turkey, a proof of a business relation with Turkey exists. This can be in the form of contracts, invoices, etc.: Submit "yes", otherwise, the registrant is not entitled to register a TR domain.
2. Turkish identification number: Submit the Turkish Identification number if applicable
3. Tax office: Submit the name of the tax/VAT office
4. Tax number: Submit the Tax/VAT number

Restrictions

Take note: for foreign companies that wish to register a .COM.TR domain, the below restrictions apply;

• For the applications made by the legal entities and organisations; the official documents required must certify that the domain name you apply for is your registered trademark or corporate name. One official document that appropriate for the application, which may be "Commercial Registration Certificate", "Trademark Registration Certificate" etc., is sufficient to register a ".COM.TR" domain.
• Foreign applicants are to prove business activity in Turkey or have a business relation with a company that is domiciled in Turkey and provide supporting official documents such as franchising agreement, distribution agreement, invoice, custom papers etc.
• No additional documentation is required if the TM is registered in the International Trademark System (WIPO) for the country code "TR" or if it is approved by the Turkish Patent Institute.

Register

To create a .TR domain, follow the procedure below:

Take note: contact details have to be an exact match to a company's COC-registration/Passport or Identification document for natural persons, otherwise, registration will be rejected.

• Create a contact handle, or search for a contact handle already created with valid data to use for the create. For a detailed description of how to create a contact handle, check the contacts knowledgebase article.
• Add additional properties for .*.tr, .tr (RegistryTR) to the Registrant contact.
• Use the availability checker to determine if the domain is available. If the domain is available, select it to register using the green 'Select to register button' and confirm with the 'Register selected domains' button.

Transfer in

To transfer in a .TR domain, follow the procedure below:

Take note: contact details have to be an exact match to a company's COC-registration/Passport or Identification document for natural persons, otherwise, the transfer will be rejected.

• Create a contact handle, or search for a contact handle already created with valid data to use for the create. For a detailed description of how to create a contact handle, check the contacts knowledgebase article.
• Add additional properties for .*.tr, .tr (RegistryTR) to the Registrant contact.
• Request a transfer through the Domain Manager. For instruction on how to transfer a domain through the Domain Manager, check the initiate transfer knowledgebase article.

Trade

To successfully change the registrant for a .TR domain, follow the procedure below.

• Create a contact handle, or search for a contact handle already created with valid data to use for the transfer. For a detailed description on how to create a contact handle, check the contacts knowledgebase article
• Add additional properties for .*.tr, .tr (RegistryTR) to the Registrant contact.
• Update the domain to the new registrant contact. For a detailed description of how to update domains through the Domain Manager, check the update a single domain knowledgebase article.
• Once the trade has been requested and depending on the basis of registration you've chosen for the new registrant contact, support will get in touch requesting you to provide the necessary documents to complete the trade.
• Once the documents are verified by the registry, the trade will be completed.

Transfer out

To transfer out a .TR domain , follow the procedure below:

Take note: .TR transfers do not require an authcode.

• Simply have the new registrar request the transfer. After confirmation, the transfer will complete real-time depending on your new registrar. For more information on the outgoing transfer process, contact the new registrar.
