Add Properties
In order to add properties for .DK domains to a contact, follow the procedure below.
Take note: If the registrant contact is not an organization, you do not have to add the additional properties and you're done. If the registrant contact is an organization, continue below and add the properties.
- Lookup the contact you wish to add the properties to and open it. Next, you're going to add additional properties to the contact. In this case, you will choose the DK (Dk-hostmaster) option.Once you've selected the .DK properties, you'll be directed to the page where you can submit the requested information.
- Fill out the data as requested by the form and click save properties when you're done.
- Entity type: Select the entity type, mandatory for Danish entities.
- EAN: EAN number, Mandatory for public organizations.
- CVR (Vat number): Enter the CVR number for Danish entities or a VAT-number for entities outside Denmark.
- OrderconfirmationToken: Enter the order confirmation token. The Order confirmation token that indicates the registrant has already agreed with the terms and conditions for DK hostmaster (EPOCH timestamp seconds format indicating the time of agreement.)
Contact validation
In order to validate contact details for .DK domains for a contact, follow the procedure below.
- Create a contact or lookup a contact you wish to add the .DK additional properties too and request validation on the chosen contact.
- Select the DkHostmaster option and click Request validation
- Validation is now pending until the contact details are validated and a validation email is sent. If you want to resend the contact validation email, hit the resend button on the right in the blue bar, if you wish to cancel a pending validation email, hit the cancel button.
- To validate the contact details, an email is sent to the email address specified in the contact you've requested validation on, an example of this email is shown below. Keep in mind that the brand from which the email below is sent has not been customized. You can customize this email to fit your organization's brand in the branding section of the Domain Manager.
- Have the recipient of the email click the link in the email and accept the required terms. The optional terms can be accepted as well and will validate contact details for other registries that require contact validation as well.
- Once submitted, the contact validation will complete and the owner is informed as shown below.
- When you open the contact in the Domain Manager, you'll notice the blue bar indicating that a validation process is pending has disappeared and the registries the contact has been validated for now detail "DkHostmaster".
- You've now successfully completed contact validation for the category DkHostmaster
Register
To create a .DK domain, follow the procedure below:
- Create a contact handle, or search for a contact handle already created with valid data to use for the create. For a detailed description of how to create a contact handle, check the contacts knowledgebase article.
Take Note: Additional properties for .DK only have to be added if you're registering on a company name. Registrations as a natural person do not require additional properties. Contact validation does need to be added to both companies and natural persons.
- Add contact validation for .DK (DKhostmaster) to the registrant contact handle.
- If necessary, add additional properties for DKhostmaster to the registrant contact.
- Use the availability checker to determine if the domain is available. If the domain is available, select it to register using the green 'Select to register button' and confirm with the 'Register selected domains' button.
- Submit the details you wish to use for registration. For in-depth support on the registration process, check the register domain(s) knowledgebase article.
- Once the create has been requested, make sure the registrant accepts the email that is sent directly from DKhostmaster, otherwise, registration will not be completed.
Transfer in
To transfer in a .DK domain, follow the procedure below:
Take note: .DK domains now require an authcode. This authcode can be retreived by the registrant when they login to the DKhostmaster self service portal.
By clicking "change to registrar management" an authcode can be generated that can be used to transfer in the domain into your Realtime Register account.
To transfer in, follow the procedure below.
- Create a contact handle, or search for a contact handle already created with valid data to use for the transfer. For a detailed description on how to create a contact handle, check the contacts knowledgebase article
Take Note: Additional properties for .DK only have to be added if the registrant is a company. Registrations as a natural person do not require additional properties. Contact validation does need to be added to both companies and natural persons.
- Add contact validation for .DK (DKhostmaster) to the registrant contact handle.
- If necessary, add additional properties for DKhostmaster to the registrant contact.
- Request a transfer through the Domain Manager. For instruction on how to transfer a domain through the Domain Manager, check the initiate transfer knowledgebase article.
- If the additional properties have been added correctly and contact validation has been approved, The transfer will be requested with DKhostmaster.
- Have the registrant approve the transfer through e-mail. The e-mail is sent directly from the registry to the Registrant and admin contact. After confirmation, the transfer will complete.
Trade
To successfully change the registrant for a .DK domain, follow the procedure below.
- Create a contact handle, or search for a contact handle already created with valid data to use for the Registrant change. For a detailed description of how to create a contact handle, check the contacts knowledgebase article.
- Add additional properties for .DK-hostmaster to the registrant contact.
- Update the domain to the new registrant contact. For a detailed description of how to update domains through the Domain Manager, check the domain update knowledgebase article.
- An email sent by DK-hostmaster to the new registrant email address to validate the contact details has to be approved.
- After the approval, the registrant change will complete in a couple of hours
Transfer out
To transfer out your .DK domain, follow the procedure below:
Take note: .DK domains now require an authcode. This authcode can be retreived by the registrant when they login to the DKhostmaster self service portal.
- By clicking "change to registrar management" an authcode can be generated that can be used to transfer out the domain to another registrar.
- Simply have the new registrar request the transfer and the registrant confirm the transfer through the email that is sent by the DKhostmaster. After confirmation, the transfer will complete real-time depending on your new registrar.
