Important

1: Create a contact with the registrant contact data in it. For instructions on how to create a contact, go to the Create a new contact knowledgebase article.

Add contact properties for .BY (RegistryBY) to the Registrant contact. For instructions on adding contact properties for .BY to a contact, go to the Add properties section of this knowledge base article.

3: Request the create through our portal. For instructions on the create process, go to the Create domain(s) knowledge base article.

4: Once requested, the create will complete in 10 business days.

Transfer in

Important

In case you already have an existing registrant contact with contact properties added to it for .BY domains to use for the create, you can skip to step 3.

1: Create a contact with the registrant contact data in it. For instructions on how to create a contact, go to the Create a new contact knowledgebase article.

3: Request the transfer through our portal. For instructions on the transfer process, go to the Transfer domain(s) knowledge base article.

4: Once requested, the .BY registry will inform our support staff with the next steps to complete the transfer. The overall transfer time for .BY domains can vary depending on the amount of time registrants need to provide all the necessary information to complete the transfer.

Registrant change

Important

A trade is only possible under certain circumstances for .BY domains.

On the basis of a court decision;
In the case of inheritance;
By succession in case of reorganization of a legal entity.

In other cases, a trade is not possible for .BY. For more information, go to the registry website and check chapter 6 of the instructions for more information.

To change the registrant for a .BY domain, follow the procedure below. In case you already have an existing registrant contact with contact properties added to it for .BY domains to use for the create, you can skip to step 3.

1: Create a contact with the registrant contact data in it. For instructions on how to create a contact, go to the Create a new contact knowledgebase article.

2: Add contact properties for .BY (RegistryBY) to the Registrant contact. For instructions on adding contact properties for .BY to a contact, go to the Add properties section of this knowledge base article.

Open the domain detail page of the domain you wish to request a regsitrant change for and request the update to the new registrant contact. For instructions on how to start the domain update process, go the Update domain(s) knowledge base article.

4: Once requested, the registrant change is requested with our .BY partner. The overall time for .BY registrant changes to complete can vary depending on the amount of time registrants need to provide all the necessary information to complete the registrant change.

Transfer out

To transfer out a .BY domain, contact the gaining registrar for more information on their procedures.

Add Contact properties

To add contact properties for .BY (RegistryBY) to a contact, go to the Contact properties knowledge base article and follow the instructions up until step #2. Once you've selected the .BY contact properties option, the below options will show up on screen;

Submit the data as requested by the form and click save properties when you're done.

2: Company reg. number In this field, the company registration number has to be provided. (Organisations only)

3: ID card no. In this field, the ID card number belonging to the registrant has to be provided. (Natural persons only)

4: ID card issue date In this field, the ID card issue date has to be provided. (Natural persons only)

5: VAT number In this field, the company VAT number has to be provided. (Organisations only)

6: ID card no. In this field, the ID card number belonging to the registrant has to be provided. (Natural persons only)
