Zones

Login to the portal and go to DNS > Zones

The DNS-zones overview page displays an overview of all DNS-zones in your Realtime Register account. DNS-zones are used on domain level to setup DNS-records using the Realtime Register basic or premium DNS-services.

Basic DNS is provided through our in house free to use nameservers (ns1.yoursrs.com & ns2.yoursrs.com), Premium DNS is provided through RcodeZero and is provided through RcodeZero DNS. You can create DNS-zones to use for domains that are registered in your Realtime Register account ( Basic DNS & Premium DNS) as well as create zones to use for domains that are not registered through your Realtime Register account (Premium DNS only). Below we'll go over the different options on the DNS-zone overview page as well as provide a table overview on the different actions that you can request for DNS-zones.

Lookup DNS-zones with the search field

Specify a DNS-zone to search for a DNS-zone, this will conduct a search over the complete DNS-template database for your account

Once you've found the DNS-zone you're looking for, click on it to open the DNS-zone detail page

On the DNS-zone detail page, various actions for the DNS-zone can be requested. For more information on the various DNS-zone actions that can be requested from the DNS-zone detail page, go to the DNS-zones actions & updates section of this knowledge base article

Lookup DNS-zones using the field filters

To lookup DNS-zones using the field filters, click the name filter, submit a search value and define the search criteria

Once you've found the DNS-zone you're looking for, click on it to open the DNS-zone detail page

DNS-zones actions & instructions

DNS-zones in the Realtime Register DNS-management options is classified in two subcategories; Basic DNS (Free to use) and Premium DNS (Paid Rcodezero DNS-services). The Basic DNS-zones can only be used for domains that are registered in your Realtime Register account. The Premium DNS-zones can be used for domains domains managed in your Realtime Register account and domains that are registered through other registrars.

The actions menu on the right side of the DNS-zone detail page provides various options to a DNS-zone in our portal. Below is explained what actions are available for DNS-zones using Basic DNS-zones & Premium DNS-zones.
