Customize the clearance domain registrant email

Login to the portal and go to Account > Branding

The update clearance domain registrant email is sent to registrants to, if a registry requires it, provide the option to acknowledge and accept terms of service of the registry the registrant is registering a domain with. Currently, only .CN, .ES & .NO use this template. Therefore the base template is empty.

Customizing full text restricted

You'll notice that none of the default text in the email can be changed. We're required by registry policies to provide registrants with a fixed set of information in the clearance domain registrant email.

Advice on email content

Since no customization to the default texts is possible, add an explanatory text in addition to the default texts provided by our branding system. In the explanatory text, provide information about why the clearance domain registrant email is received by the registrant. The explanatory text may differ to the language set in the brand settings.

Select the brand you wish to make changes for and open the clearance domain registrant email template by clicking on the edit button

On the clearance domain registrant email template detail page, select the registry you wish to preview the update domain instruction email template for. Then you'll be directed to the relevant template customization page.

Important

There is no base template in use for this template. When custom text/HTML is added, all the template versions will be updated with the custom text/HTML.

Important

The emails are available as both text-only and HTML email.

If you want to have your registrants informed with text-only email, you will have to keep the HTML version empty. However, if you want to communicate with HTML emails, please fill both the text version content as well as the HTML version.

The clearance domain registrant email template default information cannot be changed. Add explanatory text in addition to the default texts provided by our branding system. In the explanatory text, provide information about why the TMCH Claim acknowledgement email is received by the registrant

The update preview button allows you to preview the submitted changes to the clearance domain registrant email template on the right side of the screen

To add an image to the clearance domain registrant email, go to the Add images to email templates knowledge base article

Once you've made all the necessary changes, click update template to update the clearance domain registrant email template. A message indicating the update has been completed will be displayed
