Customize the incoming transfer approval (current) email

Login to the portal and go to Account > Branding

ℹ️ Note
The incoming transfer approval (current) email (also known as the incoming FOA) is sent to the current registrant when a domain transfer to Realtime Register is requested and the managing registry requires transfer approval. The email contains a link to the incoming transfer approval (current) page where the current registrant can approve the transfer request.

To customize the incoming transfer approval (current) email through the portal, follow the steps below.

⚠️ Important
None of the default text in this email can be modified. Registry policies require registrants to receive a fixed set of information in the incoming transfer approval (current) email.

Advice on email content
Since the default content cannot be changed, it is recommended to add explanatory text alongside the default text provided by our branding system. In this explanatory text, describe why the incoming transfer approval (current) email is sent to the current registrant. The explanatory text may differ from the language configured in the brand settings.

Select the brand you want to update and open the incoming transfer approval (current) email template by clicking the edit button.

On the incoming transfer approval (current) email template detail page, you can apply the required customizations.

⚠️ Important
The emails are available as both text-only and HTML email. If you want registrants to receive text-only email, keep the HTML version empty. If you want to communicate using HTML email, complete both the text version and the HTML version.

The default content of the incoming transfer approval (current) email cannot be modified. Add explanatory text alongside the default text provided by our branding system explaining why the current registrant receives the incoming transfer approval (current) email.

The update preview button allows you to preview the submitted changes to the incoming transfer approval (current) email template on the right side of the screen.
⚠️ Important
The incoming transfer approval (current) email template contains multiple preview versions. A base template preview exists for TLDs that use a generic transfer approval email. A separate Nominet preview exists for approving incoming .UK domain transfers.

For .UK domains, the email below is sent to approve incoming transfers. When custom text or HTML is added, the changes are applied to all preview versions of the template.

Once you have made all required changes, click update template to save the incoming transfer approval (current) email template. A confirmation message will be displayed when the update has completed.
