Customize the expired email notification
Login to the portal and go to Account > Branding

The expired (ERRP) email is sent to registrants once a domain has expired and provides instructions on how to request a renewal.

To customize the expired email notification through the portal, follow the steps below.

It is advised to leave the content of the expired email as unchanged as possible. Preferably, add explanatory text in addition to the default text provided by our branding system.

- Select the brand you want to update and open the expired email template by clicking the edit button.

- On the expired email template detail page, you can apply the required customizations.
⚠️ Important
The emails are available as both text-only and HTML email. If you want your registrants to receive text-only email, keep the HTML version empty. If you want to communicate using HTML email, fill in both the text version and the HTML version.

- By default, the minimum text and the required variables for this email template are already entered. Add your company’s renewal policy for customers to the text and adjust the content as needed.

- The update preview button allows you to preview the submitted changes to the expired email template on the right side of the screen.

- Once you have made all required changes, click update template to save the expired email template. A confirmation message will be displayed when the update has completed.

- You have now successfully customized the expired email.
