Adding a MBOXFW-record to a DNS-template/DNS-zone

A MBOXFW-record redirects an email address to another email address. Follow the instructions below to set up an MBOXFW-record in the Realtime Register DNS-services.


When creating/updating a DNS-template/DNS zone and you need to add/update an MBOXFW-record, use the below instruction for adding/updating the MBOXFW-record in the correct format to/for the relevant DNS-template/DNS-zone that is to be created/updated.

To add/update an MBOXFW-record, make sure the MBOXFW-record type is selected from the list of available records

Submit a name for the MBOXFW-record in the name field and a target emailaddress in the content field. In case you wish to set a different TTL than specified in the SOA-record, submit a custom TTL for the MBOXFW-record as well.

Important

The name of the MBOXFW-record must be a valid emailaddress of at least 4 characters.
