Adding a URL-record (301-redirect) to a DNS-template/DNS-zone

A URL-record redirects a hostname to another URL (301-redirect). Follow the instructions below to set up an URL-record in the Realtime Register DNS-services.


When creating/updating a DNS-template/DNS zone and you need to add/update a URL-record, use the below instruction for adding/updating the URL-record in the correct format to/for the relevant DNS-template/DNS-zone that is to be created/updated.

To add/update an URL-record, make sure the URL-record type is selected from the list of available records

Submit a name for the URL-record if applicable in the name field and a valid URL in the content field. In case you wish to set a different TTL than specified in the SOA-record, submit a custom TTL for the URL-record as well.
