Define an abuse contact, data protection officer and GDPR representative

The second step you'll take is setting up an abuse contact, data protection officer and GDPR representative. Setting up an abuse contact, data protection officer and GDPR representative is necessary for 3rd party's to be able reach the right person/department in your organisation when reporting abuse on domains you manage for your customers.

To setup an abuse contact, data protection officer and GDPR representative, follow the instruction below to do so.


Login to the Domain Manager and go to > Account details.

  • Once logged in through the link above, you'll be directed to the page below. Click 'Edit' to configure an abuse contact, data protection offices and GDPR representative.

  • Scroll down and you will be able to define an abuse contact, Data protection officer and GDPR representative. Once you've defined which contacts can be used for each role, click the "update details" button save the changes.

Take note: You can use existing contact handles or create a new one. Just make sure the correct data is in the handle you specify or create. For more information on creating new contacts, check the contacts knowledgebase article.

  • Once you've submitted the changes, you've successfully setup an abuse contact, data protection officer and GDPR representative.
