Notification rules

Login the Domain Manager and go to Account details > Users/User Roles

This page shows an overview of all notification rules that are created by you and your users.

About notifications, notification rules & notification schedules

Various domain- and other processes will trigger notifications. Some will be just a message of the completion of the process; others will require you to act in order to complete or go to the next step of a process.

Notifications
Notifications are event-driven messages to inform you about the changed status of an object in your account. You can find an overview of all notifications already sent at Notifications.

Notification rules
A notification rule is a set of rules in which way and to which user notifications are being sent. You can fine-tune the information flow for your account to optimize your account and domain management.

Notification schedules
A notification schedule is a schedule which will inform you when a domain or SSL certificate is about to expire.

Changing the notification rules

The behavior of most event types can be changed by clicking on the update notification rule button at the end of the line.

There are two columns available to be shown at this page, by default only the event type is visible. To update the columns simply click the configure table button and adapt to your preferences:

  • Event type
  • Methods

Click on Add notification rule to add a rule.

When you add a notification rule you can choose the kind of event you want to create the rule for and the way you need to be notified. Queue gives an output through API, Email sends an automated email to the selected recipient.

Changing the notification schedules

The behavior of the domain and expiry notification can be changed by clicking on the update notification schedule button at the end of the line.

There are four columns shown at this page:

  • Event type
  • Schedule
  • Period start offset
  • Period end offset

When you add a notification schedule you can choose the kind of event you want to create the rule for and when you want to receive which notifications and in which time range these notifications should occur.

Click on Add notification schedule to add a rule.
