Add properties
In order to add properties for .MY domains to a contact, follow the procedure below.
- Lookup the contact you wish to add the properties to and open it. Next, you're going to add additional properties to the contact. In this case, you will choose the MY (RegistryMY) option.Once you've selected the .MY properties, you'll be directed to the page where you can submit the requested information.
- Submit the data as requested by the form and click save properties when you're done.
Take note, the information added has to be valid, otherwise, registrations/transfers will fail.
- Company reg number: Submit the company registration number here.
- ID card no.: Submit the ID-card number of the registrant here (natural persons).
- Registrant's birth date: Submit the registrant's birth date here (natural persons).
Register
To create a .MY domain, follow the procedure below:
- Create a contact handle, or search for a contact handle already created with valid data to use for the create. For a detailed description of how to create a contact handle, check the contacts knowledge base article.
- Add additional properties for .MY (RegistryMY) to the Registrant contact.
- Use the availability checker to determine if the domain is available. If the domain is available, select it to register using the green 'Select to register button'.
- Submit the details you wish to use for registration. For in-depth support on the registration process, check the register domain(s) knowledgebase article.
- Once requested, support will get in touch to request documents to finalize the create.
Take note: Once the create is requested, documents are necessary to complete the create. Support will have to forward the documents to the registry. The below-formatted documents are necessary depending on the type of registrant your creating a domain for.
Legal entities
For legal entities an authorizing letter and a trademark certificate are necessary.
- The authorizing letter has to be signed by the legal representative of the registrant on company letterhead and stamped with a company chop. The authorizing letter should be formatted as detailed below:
"The domain name to be registered: mydomain.com.my
Registrant company, COMPANY NAME HERE, authorizes InterNetworX to register the domain by using WebNIC's local contact service."
- The trademark certificate has to valid and approved. When a request is pending to obtain a trademark certificate, registration will not be possible until the trademark has been approved.
Natural Persons
For natural persons, one single document is necessary, a copy of the ID card/passport belonging to the registrant.
- Send a copy of the ID card from which you've added the ID card number in the additional properties for the registrant contact to support.
- Once we receive the documents applicable to the registrant's legal status, registration will be requested. Usually, the registration completes within 5 working days.
Transfer in
To transfer in a .MY domain, follow the procedure below:
- Create a contact handle, or search for a contact handle already created with valid data to use for the transfer. For a detailed description of how to create a contact handle, check the contacts knowledge base article.
- Add additional properties for .MY (RegistryMY) to the Registrant contact.
- Request the transfer through the Domain Manager. For instruction on how to request a transfer through the Domain Manager, check the initiate transfer knowledgebase article.
- Have the registrant accept the transfer through the FOA that is sent to the registrant email address and the transfer will complete real-time.
Take note: If a registrant change is included in the transfer, documents are necessary to complete the transfer.
Legal entities

- Once we receive the documents, the transfer will be requested and an FOA is sent to the registrant email address.
- Have the registrant accept the FOA sent to the registrant email address and the transfer will complete real-time.
Trade
To successfully change the registrant for a .MY domain, follow the procedure below.
- Create a contact handle, or search for a contact handle already created with valid data to use for the trade. For a detailed description of how to create a contact handle, check the contacts knowledge base article.
- Add additional properties for .MY (RegistryMY) to the Registrant contact.
- Update the domain to the new registrant contact. For a detailed description of how to update domains through the Domain Manager, check the update a single domain knowledgebase article.
- Have the registrant accept the transfer through the FOA that is sent to the registrant email address.
Take note: Documents are necessary to complete the trade.

- Once we receive the documents, the trade will be requested. Support will get back to you through email once the trade has been completed.
Transfer out
- Request the transfer with the gaining registrar.

!!Take note!! Make sure the contact information in the registrant contact with the new registrar is submitted as is if no trade is necessary during the transfer.
