Troubleshooting

As we all know, using Admin, Billing and Tech contacts specified as an organization for .ES domains are not allowed by the Esnic registry. This could pose a problem if you want to update domains registered with Admin Billing and Tech contacts that were set up prior to the enforcement of this rule by the Esnic registry.

You can run into the following error messages if you're updating a .ES domain through the Domain Manager which is using incorrect Admin, Billing or Tech contacts:

The additional contact property 'Identification number' is mandatory for all contacts

This means that one of the used contacts for your *.ES, .ES domain (the registrant, admin, billing or tech contact) is missing additional properties for Esnic. Make sure all contacts appointed to the domain have additional properties for the Esnic Registry. For a detailed description of how to add additional properties for Esnic, check the add properties section.

Admin contact should not be an organization

This means the admin contact that is currently appointed to the domain you're trying to update is specified as an organization. Create a new contact that is  not specified as an organization and use it as admin contact it in the update.

Last but not least, updating the registrant contact for a .ES domain is not allowed by the registry. If you do try to update a contact which is listed as registrant contact for a .ES domain, you will run into the error below:
