Create users that need access to your Realtime Register account

The seventh step is to create users that you assign to the different employees/applications in your organization that will need access to your Realtime Register account.

In your Realtime Register account you can create as much users as you like that can gain access to the Domain Manager or the API. It's advised to create unique users for each application and person separately that needs access to your account. By creating unique users for each employee/application we will always be able to determine and inform you who has made changes to domains/contacts in case you need to know. In addition, creating unique users with limited access to the parts of the Domain Manager/API they need access to also greatly improves the security of your account.

For an instruction on how to create users for applications/employees in your organisation, continue reading below.

Login to the Domain Manager and go to Account details > Users

Once logged in, you'll reach the page below on which all active users are displayed. By default only the admin user is active in your account. This is why we advise to create designated users for every user in your organisation, this will not only improve security of your account but will allow us to check which person or application has requested updates on domains, contacts & SSL-certificates in case you need this information.

In the instruction to create user roles for all the different roles in your account we've already talked about all the different roles in your organisation and how to create a set of permissions for them. In this instruction we'll provide information on how to create users and how to connect them to the correct user roles. We'll provide an example of a user that is created for a person and an application in your organisation.
